Making Places:

Software used: Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator.

This project proposed a residential rehabilitation complex for the homeless residing in Bournemouth. The seven storey building was designed as a healing environment for people with and without addiction issues.

The spatial bubble diagram above maps out the spaces designed within this project, whilst the adjacency matrix shows this in a diagrammatic way to assist with spatial planning. The lower part of the building includes a homeless shelter with sleeping pods and canteen spaces. Residential areas are provided for different stages of recovery, including transitional accommodation.

An atrium cuts through six floors, connecting the levels and allowing for sunlight to hit each level at different points, from the skylight above.
